Baby Gard's Crib

With the half way point of our pregnancy closing in a few weeks, we have decided to start getting Baby Gard's nursery in order. This past weekend we tore out all the carpeting and base boards in all the bedrooms and will be replacing it will laminate, hardwood floors. Our room is already done and are moving on to the Baby's room this week. In the Baby's room, we'll throw down an area rug once he/she starts crawling.

After looking at and researching a million cribs, we finally selected the one we liked the best.  Melissa's parents were kind enough to buy the Baby the DELTA Waverly Collection Crib with a Serta Mattress in Almond color!  We love the simplicity of the crib and the color.  It is a 4-1 that will convert to a toddler bed and full size better later down the road. We didn't really like the dresser that matched so we are still on the hunt for that and a glider/rocker. Below is the company's photo of the crib:

We won't be painting until we know the sex of the Baby.  The room is already a pale yellow (we painted it 4 years ago in hopes it would be a nursery someday!) and we'll add a chair rail and paints accents in pink or blue.  Now we just have to finish cleaning out the closets!  We've accumulated so much stuff over the past 4 years!  Oh well, it feels good to get rid of stuff, get organized and start "nesting".
